Frequently Asked Questions.

For Potential Claimants Working with Momentum Legal Group.

How can Momentum help me?

Momentum is here to help injured people find good legal representation at no cost to them. We work with you to establish the facts of your case and then match your case with a powerful legal team.

Why shouldn’t I apply directly with a law firm?

You absolutely can and we do not discourage that. Working with Momentum means that you only need to build your case once, and then we use that information to find the perfect firm to represent you. If you prefer to apply separately with several different firms, that’s totally okay. You can still explore the free resources for injured consumers on our site.

Can I file more than one case?

You are only eligible to receive one settlement for your injury. If you have already been awarded a settlement, you are not eligible to file another case. It is also prohibited to file multiple cases at once for the same matter.

However, if you signed a retainer but your case closed prior to litigation, it might be possible to sign a new case. You may also file an additional case on a separate matter – for example, an auto accident claim after a case for illness caused by toxic exposure.

How much is this going to cost me?

Zero, if we’re talking about money. It is free to go through a qualifying process with Momentum – we will never ask you for a credit card or any other form of payment.

Our partner firms, should you choose to sign with one, work on a contingency basis. That means that if your case wins in court, you’ll split the award with your attorneys. If the case is dismissed, you owe nothing.

However, building your case and participating in a lawsuit does cost time and energy – you need to be responsive to Momentum and your legal team as we work to build the strongest case and then put that case before a judge.

My case is personal. How do I know that it’s safe to share my information?

We understand how difficult it can be to share personal details about your experience. That’s why all of our agents take sensitivity training and are HIPAA certified – protecting your privacy is our number one concern. We store all data securely and never disclose information to outside parties, other than your eventual attorney.

Momentum told me that I do not qualify for a case. What now?

Pursuing justice can be tricky. It takes time for the causal link between dangerous products and serious harm to be established, so there may not be an active tort that matches your injury at the time you apply.

If you don’t qualify for a case right now, you still have options. Momentum can keep your case on file and review it against new and adjusted criteria as it emerges. Or, we can close your file at your request. This means we won’t be actively looking for a match for you, but you can always contact us again in the future to re-open. In either circumstance, feel free to call in at any time if the details of your case have changed.

What if I don’t want to participate in a lawsuit?

That’s perfectly fine. There is no pressure to join a suit. You can do the qualifying process with us even if you are simply curious about whether your case is eligible.

Outside of our work with law firms, we also strive to help consumers protect themselves in a world of corporate negligence. Check out our blog, YouTube channel, and social media for information, resources, and real talk from people like you.

Your story matters, no matter what.
