Depo Provera

  •  4x Annual Birth Control Injections

  •  Meningioma (brain tumor) Diagnosis

  •  Prescribed & Injected in US, No Self Administration

  •  No Prior History with Radiation

Sarah Thompson, a 39-year-old woman from Columbus, Ohio, began receiving  brand-name Depo-Provera birth control injections in January 2014 at the  recommendation of her OB-GYN, Dr. Melissa Hart, at Columbus Women’s  Health Clinic. Over the course of five years, she received approximately 20  injections administered every 12 to 13 weeks, typically in the buttocks. Sarah  had no prior history of radiation exposure or genetic conditions and had not  used any other hormone therapies prior to starting Depo. In early 2020, she  began experiencing persistent headaches and vision disturbances. After  undergoing diagnostic imaging, she was diagnosed with a meningioma (brain  tumor) in February 2021 by Dr. Rahul Desai at Ohio State University Medical  Center. Sarah has never been represented by another law firm in this matter.  Her case qualifies for the Depo-Provera lawsuit due to her prolonged use of  the birth control injection and the diagnosis of meningioma after use began.
